AN INNOVATIVE AND EFFECTIVE TECHNICAL SOLUTION

Themèlio EVO, on the other hand, is used when the terrain does not have sufficient bearing capacity to support the load of the building to be constructed or, in any case, when the expected subsidence with the direct foundation is excessive. In this case, either poles will be constructed at the depth at which the solid terrain layer is reached, or poles of sufficient length to withstand the loads transmitted by the foundation through the lateral friction created with the terrain.

Themèlio and Themèlio EVO, and the Synde connection system are our solution to prefabricated foundations. The prefabricated plinths Themèlio and Themèlio EVO are produced in our factory in Orta Nova (FG), in pyramid-shaped metal moulds.

Themèlio plinths are connected by means of RC (reinforced concrete) and PRC (prestressed reinforced concrete) beams to create a frame scheme.

In the case of buildings with prefabricated panels, the connecting beams also act as panel holders. The prefabricated structure, and therefore also prefabricated foundations, offer certain advantages over cast-on-site structures, including speed of construction and better quality control, both of the materials used and of the production process of the elements.

Our Synde connection system allows for the interlocking between the Themèlio or Themèlio EVO foundation plinth and the pillar of the building to be constructed.

Technique

All the elements in PRC or VRC are produced in the Foggia plant and then transported to the construction site.

The “Themelio” prefabricated plinth is produced in our plant using metal moulds or formwork equipped with special slow and prestressed reinforcements into which the concrete is poured.

Due to the mechanical characteristics of the ground, the plinths are placed on a levelling lean concrete or, for high load conditions, on a sub-foundation plate made on site (under plinth).

Advantages

The elements of the Prefabricated Foundation ‘Themelio EVO’ are produced entirely in our factory using a standardised industrial process that allows us to provide precise and definite costs, already at the design stage. The use of a prefabricated prestressed concrete foundation reduces construction site costs by up to 90%, as it requires less excavation and subsequent backfilling, thus avoiding the need for specialised labour and reducing safety charges.
